OS X 10.7 Lion Golden — Master Version Seeded To Devs

Apple’s Mac OS X 10.7 Lion was announced and previewed at WWDC 2011 to have over 250 new features, including full-screen apps, built-in Mac App Store, and a new Mission Control, all for just $29.99. It was set to be available sometime in July and it looks like it should be right on time as Apple has just seeded the Golden Master version of OS X Lion to developers today.

It’s believed that OS X Lion will be available sometime in mid-July in part because of recent rumors regarding Apple’s MacBook Air revamp. It’s said that Apple is holding back the launch of their revamped MacBook Airs to coincide with the launch of OS X Lion. Sources also add that the company has a penchant for releasing new products a few days before an earnings call to have more interesting things to talk about. Apple’s next earnings report is on July 19.
